I agree with this. Like, I love watching people who have unhinged fashion sense. Like, they literally look like they rolled around in a random pile of clothing and came out with something outrageous, but fun and that fits THEIR style.I get so annoyed with Carrie repeating "Why did we stopped wearing this" in recent videos, like, firstly, who's we? If Carrie wasn't such a trend chaser, her ""pErSoNaL sTyLe" would actually be worn by her, no matter the year or trend cycle. Real personal style can adapt to trends, but it's not the base of it.
Secondly, I don't believe that she's wearing whatever she wants, she always looks the same, even tho she uses statement/ecclectic pieces, she doesn't know how to style them, so her outfits look bad
Carrie acts like she wants to be like this. Like someone who has her super unique own fashion style, but she just fails at it bc she's too busy chasing trends while spouting to not chase trends
And, honestly, it's ok to participate in a trend if it's one you like. Like, yeah, go buy stuff that is trendy that fits who you are, that you know you'll wear once the trend is past.
Carrie likes to spout that she misses styles or we should still wear things, but she doesn't have the balls to do it bc its not trendy and she has to feel like "one of the cool girls"... You know what's actually "cool" Carrie? Being yourself and not giving a fuck what the trend cycle says
I think that's why her fashion style is atrocious. Not bc it's not something I'd ever wear myself (I watch several channels where I'd never wear what they do but I love them bc it fits THEM and that's what's fun about it). It's bc she tries so hard to be trendy and cool and she just isn't ever going to be those things.
